Tower In The Forest

Post by Garbageman13 »

Some of you on Flickr may've remembered my unfinished castle. Well, I eventually took that down and built something I was more pleased with..

I've always wanted to incorporate a waterfall into a Castle MOC, and I've always liked towers. I decided to combine the two! This MOC was very enjoyable to build, and I have to credit several builders for the inspiration and techniques. The tower was based off Daniel DNL and Rocko's towers/castles. I also learned the whole tip of the roof thing from DNL. And last, but not least, I learned the basics of making a waterfall from Eggy Pop, who posted a tutorial awhile back. (Read it here)

Here's a link to the complete set on Flickr.

Enjoy, and God bless.

Very cool. That waterfall turned out really nice. BTW, I linked Eggy's tutorial to our how-to page.

How! How do you guys make such great mocs. This is beautiful. That waterfall, although it is not your idea, is amazing. Great job with the landscaping.

This is brilliant, with an excellent sense of both scale and movement.

That waterfall's really something.

Even though it's been already said, I like the waterfall. I also like how the tower was built right down into the cliff with the exit at the bottom. The mini-figs you used were great too, each one has something different going on and none of them are really related to what the other is doing. I especially got a kick out of the random guy robbing the place. Thanks for sharing!
