LEGO Pick a Brick Feedback

Post by architect »

Dear castle fans,

LEGO would like us to gather feedback regarding the current Pick a Brick system. What types of elements (bricks, plates, specialized elements, accessories, etc) would you like to see more of? Which ones could you do without? Please let me know and I will forward your feedback to them. Thank you.

Ben Ellermann

Before I give feedback, I'd like to know something: Is this for online PAB or PAB in LEGO stores?

Thanks,

Thanks,
I am fairly certain this is for online Shop at Home Pick a Brick.

I'd like a variety of castle helmets, in particular the castle visors. Bringing the armour back would be nice as well. More colors for these and the current weapons on PaB would be nice as well.

I have a rather long list of odd specific parts as well but generally this is something I'd like to see.

You know if they put a cow on there they'd sell tons. Think of all of those train layouts, for instance, that could populate fields with herds of cows. Any of the animals would be great, actually (checks --- hey, they have dogs for .46 each --- contemplating building a dog army now).

Good idea Bruce! Cows and other animals would be sweet.

I'd add horses to that as well.... saddles and barding would be nice as well with those.

Great idea Bruce! Indeed they have the dog on there, the cow would be a brilliant move!

I would love to see cows and other animals (as long as they are reasonably priced). I would like to see more castle-oriented minifig parts too. There've been a few, but not enough.

My two cents,

Cows would be incredible. I've never actually used the online PaB. Cows would force me to change that.

I'd really like to see a greater range of minifig heads, hair and accessories available. Many of these pieces are desireable across lines (Space, Pirates, Castle, Town, etc.). While offering parts specific to each individual builder's
needs is great, often those parts are covetted by a select few builders. I would love to see some of these parts offered in colours unavailable in sets (i.e. the Princess Leia hairpiece in tan). Heck, given the premiums people pay for older figures on bricklink, I wonder why LEGO doesn't run a few of the older popular torsos like the Black Falcons or Forestmen.

I'm going to be very straightforward here; LEGO will have a hard time matching Bricklink for parts prices, however minifigs and minifig accessories are an area which LEGO could easily dominate the market. AFOLs on Bricklink frequently part out sets marking figures up and basic bricks down. LEGO could easily offer older popular torso prints for $1.00 per fig which would beat the majority of bricklink sellers. Consider that the average Black Falcon torso goes for well over $1.00 on Bricklink. Other torsos and accessories sell for considerably more. It's one area that LEGO really seems to be missing out on.

Oh and lots of dark brown.

Come to think of it, they have given us lots of these awesome dark brown barrels so hows about producing a 2x2 round plate in dark brown please.

Cows are a great idea. I also am going to lend my support/agreement for Blueandwhite's post. I have friends that sell minifig parts on BL, but I think that PAB would help keep prices down from the alarming increase that minifig parts cost by offering those parts. Hair is an area that is needed. Basically, without rambling any further......I agree with Blueandwhite on all counts
