Weekly Set Review: Knight's Procession
Re: Weekly Set Review: Knight's Procession
Managed to pick this one up on ebay for the same price as a contemporary battlepack. Just an all-round classic and simple set.

As Minifigure sets go, this is one of the best, if not THE best, out there. You get six, well armed dudes, as well as a cart, though not a very useful or good looking cart. The figs are one of the best out there, mainly because the lack of heraldry, which means they are the most versatile Castle minifigs out there.
All in all, 9.9/10.

Re: Weekly Set Review: Knight's Procession
I received this set when I was a kid and was very happy to have it back then. This set, along with the others of that time, started and reinforced my addiction to LEGO Castle. It was like adding wood to a fire. 10/10, no reservations other than not having more.

Re: Weekly Set Review: Knight's Procession
This was my first Castle set, a Christmas gift from St. Nick, and I got it before I even knew Lego made castle sets. I remember being amazed at the cool new Lego swords, shields and helmets. It never even occurred to me at the time that wheels weren't very castle-ish. At that time anything that wasn't a 2x4 brick was pretty special.

Is it just me, or is the helmet of the knight on the far left bley?

I think somebody had better give their opinion before my eyes pop out of my head from staring at this picture trying to decide if the helmet is light bley!Aliencat wrote:What do you think?Clefspeare wrote:Is it just me, or is the helmet of the knight on the far left bley?

Re: Weekly Set Review: Knight's Procession
Truth is, it is impossible for a set this old to contain light bley. Waaaaaay too old for that.Clefspeare wrote:I think somebody had better give their opinion before my eyes pop out of my head from staring at this picture trying to decide if the helmet is light bley!Aliencat wrote:What do you think?Clefspeare wrote:Is it just me, or is the helmet of the knight on the far left bley?

Well the picture is certainly not from when the set was released, it's possible is was accidentally rebuilt for the photograph with a bley helmet. I think it looks bley anyway.
Re: Weekly Set Review: Knight's Procession
This set was my first ever Lego set and was well played with. And still in use the soldiers from this set are now my maidens Veteran bodyguards.
I have a few of the original parts.. 5 torsos and heads, 4 pairs of legs and a light grey helmet. I think most of the pieces were lost in my parents backyard somewhere. [might go check out the rockery in the backyard this weekend.. you never know what might turn up.]
A good set with great playability but not very exciting to look at by itself.

Hello!

If you all are speaking about this picture () the helmet is most certainly not bley. Because I'm the one who took the pic.lefty wrote:Well the picture is certainly not from when the set was released, it's possible is was accidentally rebuilt for the photograph with a bley helmet. This is just the sort of nonsense up with which I will not put.
