32 x 32 Challenge: Castellum Diabolicum.

Post by eti »

First real castle I built, really.... And it was quite a challenge for me, to build such a large castle!
As you see I did not need the entire baseplate... but it is quite a complete castle, I think, including some unfortunate events. I won't need to tell the story, just look at the pictures:

Megablocks on Earth. I really like your colour scheme.;)

That would be H-e-Double hockey sticks. Not a curse but in fact a reference to the 'place'.
Trevor

Trust me, I think I'm funnier than you do.
Why do I have to add the word "minifig" to my spell checker every time I use it?!

Okay, trying to decipher your message here.... H E Double hockey sticks appears to be a TV show, does it have a similar castle? And what do you mean with "Megablocks on Earth"? (and I thought my English wasn't bad...)

So you know, "H E double hockey sticks" = Megablocks.
Megablocks = the opposite of heaven. The forum filters get rid of that word and replace it with Megablocks.
Your English is fine. You just encountered the forum filter and an idiom you weren't familiar with.

Well, I love your MOC. It looks eeeeevil to the core. The color scheme, the details, and the sheer diabolicalness of it tell me that if I were a minifig, I would not want to end up there.

The red boat with its red sail is my favorite part. Good work.

I love the rotisserie minifig. And being a fan of the red & black color scheme, I think it looks really good.

Oh I see... is 'hëll' actually filtered out? Since when is that a bad word? Well okay it is... Sort of. But now that Lego has released devil minifigs this is not the first hellish MOC I have seen

This is not cool.....it's hot  It suffers from Big Black Wall Syndrome, which is a good thing in this case because it looks like this place is meant for suffering. Ok, I'm done with the puns. Seriously though, at first glance, I had to count the studs because it looked bigger than 32 x 32. Great job on giving the illusion that it is bigger than it really is. Some of the smaller details are exceptionally cool, like the red bricks with the technic axle hole, spiders on the thrown, horns on the door, and red chesse slopes. I'd be tempted to either make the lake somehow a lake of fire, or photoshop steam into the pic :tasty: . Really neat build and a place my minifigs would not want to go to.

Very well done. One of the better 32x32 MOCs so far!

Wow very nice, this reminds me of the Daedra Towers in Oblivion. It might be nice if on the baseplate you used red, orange, yellow and black plates and made it a sea of lava.

Agreed completely. I also love the out-of-placeness of the minifig on the boat with a tiny cabin. As with most other MOCs, and as I have said 34 zillion times, no interior? :(
Thanks for this amazing entry.
