Re: A challenge to you...EDITED!
Remember, it's not a contest, just a challenge. An excellent challenge indeed, but not really a contest at all.Griffon wrote:I was building on a 32x48 but due to a lack of bricks i am redesigning it to 32x32 meaning i can bring in an entry for this contest , i need to work quick now if i want to make it before the deadline but having good hopes i'll make it
Just in case there was confusion.

Re: A challenge to you...EDITED!
I know its not a real contest with prizes and all but still it is sort of a contest for honour
So for me no confusion at all.

I wasn't sure if, etiquette wise, I should also post a link to my creation in this thread. Just in case, here it is:
(note that the picture is a link to the thread where I posted my 32x32 creation)
Sorry if I was mistaken in posting this here!
Thank you all for the wonderful inspiration this challenge has given.

So, finally ready for taking pictures, but now the battery of my camera is dead...
Maybe I should take someone elses timezone in stead of my own

Re: A challenge to you...EDITED!
Those look fantastic, you two! I'll run over and have better looks and leave my comments it the proper threads later but I wanted to pop in here to say...
Don't stop everyone! If you are working on something for this challenge, you won't miss a hard and fast deadline. The reason I mentioned getting them finished by the end of August was simply to light that proverbial fire under some butts. Great job to everyone who participated and to those of you who followed along and left some really great comments and criticisms too!

Trust me, I think I'm funnier than you do.
Why do I have to add the word "minifig" to my spell checker every time I use it?!

Well, better late then never, as they too commenly say.
Here is my 32x32 Castle:
http://www.brickshelf.com/gallery/Eleph ... le_003.jpg
Not as fancy as most of the castles, but I wanted to keep as much to 375 as possible, and I think I did very well in that aspect.
Another pic:

Won't give you any more (Until the folder goes public, at least) becuase all the other pics are dark, as the lighting was going. and here is the folder in question: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=400490
Anyways, there you go.

Thanks to every one who built for this challenge. I hope to be able to run it annually if the admins will allow it.

Re: The 32x32 Challenge 2009
Ah, since this is going to a yearly thing now, it will give me a bit more incentive to build castles. At least I hope so.
