I know I don't speak for everyone when I say this, but it would be nice to have light flesh minifigure parts (like heads) too.

Unfortunately, that one isn't going to be possible.
The flesh minifigure parts are only used in licensed themes, and no licensed parts may be added to Pick-a-Brick.

I didn't go back to read the whole thread again but did anyone mention/how about the new lattice panes in a couple of colors? White and blue or green or yellow?

I would like to see stability in the parts which are offered. Then I would say: castle wall elements (both gray and some form of tudor), castle torsos, helmets, shields, horses.

Sure thing... I have a number of designs on LDD which can no longer be ordered because Lego doesnt offer some of the pieces I used on PAB anymore. There is one issue with LDD, because it doesnt tell you specifically which part is no longer available, but there is also the issue of keeping pieces permanently available in PAB once they have been offered. If you dont use LDD it may not be as much of an issue, but it can be inconvenient for other users of PAB as well. One big instance is the Castle decorated torso and accesories (like Euro armor) which are no longer available. There are more minor bricks which have been removed from PAB as well though.

I would have to say I agree with the all posts about minifig parts and accessories.

The fact is that lego will never be able to compete with bricklink on most building pieces. PAB online is insanely expensive for basic building bricks. However, the cost of minifig parts on bricklink is getting out of control and is a place where lego is missing out. The space police alien figs are going for over $10.00 a piece.

I also buy parts from lego stores by the case and at the PAB wall. This is way more economical than PAB online. Unfortunately I know not everyone has access to this vital resource.

Good news for you, DerBum: LDD 3.0 is coming out in about a month's time, and it has options to optimize your build for buying: if you have used parts that aren't available, LDD 3.0 will help you find alternatives for that part. That's an option that really lacked from LDD 2.0, or even at all showing what's available and what not.

Other than that, don't see Pick-a-Brick as anything more than it is: parts that are currently in production for sets, can be available in Pick-a-Brick, if they're not produced for these sets anymore, they will also disappear from Pick-a-Brick (depending on stock, in some cases, some parts have stayed around longer).

Fair enough and I understand the reasoning behind it, but castle torsos are in current sets as are the Euro armor pieces, it is difficult to make small castle themed designs without people and both of those components were available for a while. I know that market considerations and availability affect the PAB assortment... it is what it is. That is good news on LDD 3.0 though, thanks for the heads up!

Ah. I wish I got in on this before it went to TLC. I guess I'll still throw my two cents in.

I'd love to see some tiles, more fig headgear and the new lattice windows (which are awesome!). Fig headgear is relatively easy to come by on BL but often hard to get a good amount without paying a premium. The lattice windows are pretty expensive on BL due to the fact that they're relatively new and I think PaB would be a nice alternative to BL for those.

Bricks by the kilo or pound would be awesome. I second that! Most of us aren't near a Lego store and can't fill up cups like you lucky folks. Especially in Canada.

How can they be so expensive on BL? I understand the colors other than white being expensive but even the white ones are at least $0.50...

They're still relatively new, and online Pick-a-Brick isn't available in every country, Bricklink is. When there's more demand, prices can go up. Of course people who live somewhere they can order from Pick-a-Brick and know that these windows are available and cheaper there, won't order them from Bricklink, but everyone else will.
That's my theory on why they're more expensive on Bricklink than through Pick-a-Brick. Either way be happy Pick-a-Brick is available for you and you can get these windows there

Another reason that things can be high on bricklink.

For a large store if a price starts to fall a seller must adjust the price of current inventory to keep up with the new price level.
