This is my first attempt building in anything smaller than minifig scale, so I have no idea if there are scale 'rules' that I've broken. Please feel free to fill me in, constructive criticism is always welcomed. In staring at the photos during upload I've already noticed two more things I could have done, but alas, I'm out of time.
Let's see if I can remember how to add links to my post...

A huge thanks goes out to Troy for getting my bricklink order shipped in time for the contest entry (I got it this morning) even though he didn't know I needed it that badly and I chose cheap shipping instead of fast shipping. Also of note, my other vendors didn't even ship yet. As a result I was forced to improvise my 'minifigs', the torsos are a different brick than I would have used, and the black arms should be green, the grey hats should be brown. C'est la vie.

I like the unique way you made the minifigs. I also like the large black tree next to the main fortress, just like in the real set.

Hm... An interesting scale for the microfigs, but I like it.
It seems to be a faithful replica of the real set, and I wouldn't be surprised if you won the category!
Cheers,

Re: Forestmen's Crossing Microscale
Sadly, it is pure illusion. I worked and worked at making it open, but my building skills were, I admit, not up to the challenge. After I'd finally given that up, I went for the closest 'look' I could get for the door. Thanks for noticing the effort at least!DarkTemplar wrote:Wow it looks like you even have the secret door open able, good job!
