Miracles of Agostino Novello
Hey all,
Inspired by this altarpiece painted by Simone Martini in 1324 depicting miracles attributed to the saint Agostino Novello:
Italian builder mautara has created a series of MOCs:
illustrating, respectively, the bottom left, upper left and upper right panels from the altarpiece. He is currently working on a LEGO version of the fourth miracle in the lower right panel.

I think that they look wonderful. It definitely has a strong Italian feel to it.

That is really quite good. I need to do some research about the original now. I've never seen it before.

Re: Miracles of Agostino Novello
It's wonderful like the others but the indoor details are even better: the loom (telaio) above all.
The palace is also beatiful and the combination of arches in the windows are creative.

Re: Miracles of Agostino Novello
Hey Mautara,
I'm glad you did the fourth panel. It's a great MOC. As others have said, that loom is particularly inspired. I also really like the group playing instruments. So, what's next? Do you have another artwork in mind for your next MOC?

Re: Miracles of Agostino Novello
I'm very happy you all like my last creation as the others, and i'm also happy you like the loom. I made several tries before i got this last one. On the contrary i made the reel (i hope the word is correct) in just one evening
My next project will be St Mauro who walked on water to save st. Placido, a fresco by Sodoma in the abbey of Monteoliveto. Sorry, i can't find any picture of it on the web so you all have to wait too see both the artwork and my MOC

Re: Miracles of Agostino Novello
Hi everybody,
my latest creation is a little esagonal church that completes the diorama of miracles 1, 2 and 4. even if there's no more agostino novello the scale and the style are the same of previous MOCs.
brickshelf has no upload so i opened an account on flickr where you can find both the church and the diorama

i hope you all enjoy it
