Hey, thought I'd dig this thread back up again with another awesome German castle called Burg Hohenzollern:

Link

It's situated high on a rocky hill, making it hard to attack, here you can see it sticking out above the clouds:

Looks almost magical, no? Like a floating sky castle.

It was mostly destroyed during a siege in the Thirty Years War (judging by this castle's almost-impossible-to-attack position high up on a rocky hill that must have been one Megablocks of a siege), but rebuilt again into a more beautiful castle that we see there nowadays.

I am very sorry! I'll edit it to be another Castle. Great to see you again on a place other than the Pages.

Excellent edit. Lichtenstein would be an awesome castle to build :)
And it's always good to see friends from the 'pages join us here.

Yes indeed. Me and my Father are attempting to build this currently. Yes I am the one who once invited you to a Cat group, in which we talked then departed.

I've been looking at Dzong architecture, forts in Bhutan and Tibet, the himalayas:

Gyantse Dzong 1
Gyantse Dzong 2
Gyantse Dzong 3

Kampa Dzong

I'd love to build something like those, absolutely spectacular.

Recently had the pleasure of visiting 2 castles. One in Wales, Carrig Cennen Castle and one near the welsh boarder in England, Goodrich. Thought I'd share some photos I took.

Hope they provide inspiration to others as much as they have to me!
