My friend, it is always about the pitchfork for me. I completely missed all the sets containing one as the Era of the Pitchfork was my Dark Age of LEGO. As a Castle Fan-Addict I have had to really stretch the five pitchforks I have gotten through Bricklink over the years (at an average of $5.00 each), but they are too rare or expensive for me to have a proper peasant uprising or ogre hunt. When LEGO promised Farm and Medieval Village sets I was all hopeful for the return of the pitchfork, but so far there has been no sign of it's return. It is the single most wanted element in my kingdom.

Which is why I like to shout, "PITCHFORK!"

I need to get LEGO set designer attention. :eyebrows:

As much as I'd love to see elves in 2010, they're not coming. I think that the photoshopped boxes got everyone a little too excited.

Dude, we aren't allowed to discuss those. Not even a little bit.

We can't even talk about the leaks? There's nothing illegal or anything about that. Heck, even the pics aren't illegal. lol I want to talk about Kingdoms.

It's hard to talk about the news of the future sets when you know some of it and aren't allowed to. :tasty:

"Information that is obtained illegally is NOT open for discussion, even if you were not the person who did the original illegal act. Some examples: " -Rules quote.

I'm new here so don't hate me!
But seriously, no matter how I get the leaked info I did not get it illegally. There's nothing illegal about this. At worst the original person may have obtained the leak illegally but that's a stretch unless they broke into a place to get it. I'm talking about the person who first got the leaks/pics/whatever and distributed them. After that it's free reign and there's absolutely nothing illegal about it. Viewing leaked stuff leaked by someone else is never illegal. Even hosting the info on a site isn't illegal. There's no way anyone can get in legal trouble because it's simply not illegal.

There are exceptions but all of them are like passing on top secret government info which can get dicey. Sadly Lego is not one of those exceptions. At the worst Lego might send a letter asking someone to stop distributing the info. And unless you're that original leaker who 99% chance has nothing to worry about you're not doing anything illegal and you're not in any danger of anything at all.

Now, again if Lego asked you'd have to abide. That's about all.

NOTE: POSTING IMAGES can be illegal. Talking about them to their fullest is not. I'd understand that you guys wouldn't want the images posted. However again, talking about these to their fullest and the act of viewing the leaks is not illegal at all. The original person is the only one who can be at fault for anything legally. Spearding around the pictures online can get dicey but 99.999999% chance nothing will come of it if you're not that original guy. However it's the principal I guess so I understand why you don't want pics shown.

The Admins have decided not to allow discussion of leaks on CC. There are plenty of other places to do that. The legality of the issue is not the point. Lego asked us to not to. While it is not our job to protect Lego from leaks, we have decided to prohibit the spread of the leaks in order to assist them. This is an old issue and is not open to debate.

As for the legality, the pictures are actually illegal. The people who initially leak them are breaking the terms of the NDAs that they have signed. But that is not really our problem. It is Lego's problem. However, out of respect for them, we have agreed to help.

It's just CC's policy to not have officially released information posted or talked about on this forum. Disagree or not, it is their policy and I intend to respect and honor it. I like finding out about stuff in advance sometimes too, but I don't want to ruin it for the people that want to be surprised. There are plenty of other sites that like to spill the beans, brag about digging up information, are just plain ruin the fun for others. CC does a great job of keeping those jerks from posting stuff like that here.

Makes us look more mature, and as such the LEGO peeps may be more willing to work with our wishes and respect our community, and if that gets me a few PITCHFORKS in official LEGO sets soon, then I am all for kissing that boot. :tasty:
