I came across this really nice mini fig reference site which has (from what I can tell) every mini fig variation ever released and which sets they were available in. So I thought I'd share. Enjoy!

It's pretty old, and the last time it was updated was in May I believe. Usually Peeron, Brickset and Bricklink are the most(est) up to date and user friendly of the Dot Coms.

The sites you mentioned Count Blacktron are mainly useful for the experienced buyer who knows what she wants ahead of time - this site lays out what figures came with each set easier, or maybe it's just me - anyway thanks Dark Templar!
