Customized kettle helm

I made this customization on a Kettle Helmet, I know the quality is meh, but what do you guys think about the idea of not having the cheek guards?

Looks good to me, I tried to do this from scratch with sculpey and it didn't come out quite as well. But I do like the idea, especially for use on basic infantry units such as the guy you used.

I've tried this before and the brim always seems to stick out too far without the "chain mail". Just my opinion though.

I never customize, but a little bit of the cheekguard thingy is still there, it might need a little but of sandpaper-ing, but otherwise, I think this helmet looks lighter for archers, since I think it would be hard to shoot a bow with that big heavy helmet. Thanks for the C&C. :)
