Is Little Armory Toys still in business?

Post by bengun »

Hi, this is my first post :) and I am really getting into the Prince of Persia and castle themes and I would like to get the scimitar from Little Armory Toys for the Prince of Persia theme. Does anybody know where these are available? I have emailed Little Armory toys and their Bricklink.com counterpart but, I have received no reply. So, does anybody know if they are in business, where I could get a sword, Etc...?

As far as I know they are not doing any business these days. If you are looking for middle eastern weapons and headgear, check out Brickforge:

Hope this helps!

Hmmm. Last time this topic came up everyone said he was not in business until he got on and said he was. People tend to jump to conclusions on very little evidence. He is not on the CC very often which does not help keep such rumours down. I'd send him an email. He is still selling things so I'd guess he is still in business.

Officially, he is still in business. But the only items in stock are the Great Helm and the Modern Weapons Pack. He hasn't gotten any new stock in forever. So, I can't imagine that he's doing much business. If he isn't answering emails, that's not a good indication either.

Oh, also "In Stock" is a custom BS Galactica Cylon Raider, priced at $400. I don't think that is moving any time soon.

He had a restock like 6 months ago (correct me if i'm wrong), and you should really keep a close eye on his shop. All the stuff was sold in no time... :(

My experience is that he restocks his store from time to time, but you have to catch it right away, because he usually gets sold out within a couple of days, or even faster.

For some time I just made it a habit to check his store first thing in the morning. After several weeks of doing this, I finally cought his fresh restock and was able to purchase several sets of everything he makes in the medieval line.

In the past I was also able to get hold of him by email, and it seems that he often struggles with health problems.

But I have to ad that it was worth to make an effort to get his stuff! And it is worth the wait! The designs are absolutely amazing! The medieval armor is just breath-taking, the helmets are gorgeous, and the weapons are beautiful!

Oh, BTW, the scimitars fit the new Prince of Persia double scabbard perfectly! I will try to take a picture soon!

He also only seems to offer black, and if the scimitar is what you're after, it's a fairly loose fit in a minifig hand.

Barbrickian, gray sets are also available at times. I do have them. The gray is an almost exact match of Lego's DBG.

Is it possible that your minifigs have their hands stretched out a bit from too much use? The scimitars fit perfectly (nice and sturdy - not lose at all) in the hands of mine. But I do know that certain weapons (like for example Lego's chrome swords) are a bit fat and tend to stretch out the hands a bit. But because it is soft plastic it is easy to push them together and make them as good as new.

1st - Yes, LA is still in business. It is NOT however, a full-time day job.

2nd - I DO NOT have health issues. Like most people, I DO get ill from time to time though - but nothing major.

3rd - I usually don't get a chance to answer emails every day, and sometimes it does take longer.

4th - The $400 Cylon Raider is listed only because that's what I paid for it. I don't expect it to "move", but I figured I'd put it up just in case someone might want it. There are A LOT of rare original light gray parts on it after all.

5th - As for LA's stock... If you want something, you really do need to be quick on the draw with my stuff. Strange as it may be, but it does have a nack for selling out rather quickly - especially for 6 yr old designs.

6th - Many thanks to those of you for the continued support.
