LEGO Racers 64

Post by Sir Zeppelin »

This is for all of us still stylin' on the Nintendo 64... does anybody play LEGO Racers 64? It was first a game for Microsoft Windows. Then It was realesed in 1999 for the Nintendo 64, and although outdated, it's a pretty cool game. You can build your own character (yes, using minifig parts), design your own car, and race. It has been adapted to the Game Boy Color and the PlayStation, but I was wondering if anyone still plays it on the 64.

Here's an article about it on Wikipedia:

Oh, I actually remember that game, so many good memories... :) The music was quite painful but other than that I really did like it (even though my favourite racing game was always Star Wars Episode I Racer).

I imagine you had a lot of fun building your racers and their cars, just as we did? Ah, those N64 games... so simple, yet so much fun! I actually don't mind the music; what I found painful was steering the cars- they're a little touchy. However, once you get the feel for it, they're not bad.

I had it for PS1, and for me it was the retro music that made it! Also it let me own forestmen, which is something that sadly does not apply in the real world. Great game!
