Promo Kingdoms Sets

Postby Athos » Mon Mar 01, 2010 11:17 am

Whung from eurobricks found these on Lego's instruction page:

I wonder if they are brickmaster or some other sort promotion...

Beat me to it! I wonder where they will be available.

I really like the camp like feel of the archer set. Nice way to get apples, turkey legs, telescopes and soldiers.

The attack wagon is kinda meh, but it's growing on me.

I like the Attack wagon, personally I don't think we get enough mindlessly spiky things.

Man, these promo sets look really cool! Does anyone know how/where promo sets come from/sold, because I'd like to get these when they come out and I've never gotten a promo set before...

Cute. Especially the archer set.

[whiny voice] I wish they had shields, though...

It will be interesting to see if these sets make it to production unlike several previous castle instruction sets. Both small sets look nice and would be great impulse or club sets.

I kind of agree with this! I usually find them a bit annoying... until I get an idea that requires them in massive amounts, and I never have enough!

I also agree with the apples/etc.

Overall, these sets make me a very happy collector. They are like value-added battle packs, a fig and more. :)

(of course it's only 1 fig... heh heh)

How will these be distributed? Is it just online or in shops as well, and also is it US only? (If it is i will cry for a bit).

If any sets are U.S. only, that means there are non U.S. sets as well. Even if there aren't I'm willing to trade and ship.

These look good! I would have prefered the new generic torso on the archer, but this is nice too.

If they are only available as promotional sets then I doubt that they will be that useful for army building as they probably won't be easy to come across. I hope these see a wider release as well. Promotional sets are okay; general releases are better.

I hope they make it into the Fall Impulse assortment as Target usually stocks up on those for Halloween goodie baskets here in the US of A. I don't think they are in time for an Easter release, but then they COULD be a Winter/X-Mas assortment, like wave 2 of Castle Impulse. Remember that so far we have seen the dark green Wizard and the Jester Impulse sets, and these two would certainly follow after them if they make it to retail.

Otherwise I am all for another hardcover idea book assortment like the Pirates and Castle books of 2009, and these two could be included together in a single Kingdoms book. In any case, I just hope they make it to retail en masse here in the US and the rest of the world according to LEGO (and beyond). Too cool for words.

Time and perhaps Ambassadors will tell. :sly:

So far so good in my opinion for the new theme.
