Re: Pitchforks for Minifigures
Sure, I'll stand up to be counted for a two pronged pitchfork.

Trust me, I think I'm funnier than you do.
Why do I have to add the word "minifig" to my spell checker every time I use it?!

Names have been added, and I'll add them to the copy over at Brickforge. Anyone know of any other sites I could add this to?

^I'd say Eurobricks would be another good place to add it.

*sigh* I checked, and I can't register there yet, since I won't be 18 for five more months.Sir Dano wrote:^I'd say Eurobricks would be another good place to add it.
Are you a Eurobricks member? If you are, could you do me a big favor and post this petition there (as well as these links)?

Re: Pitchforks for Minifigures
Seriously, if ANYONE can post my petition ANYWHERE, please do so. Just please post a link to the site so I can keep track of how many people have signed. I want to submit the list to BF soon, but I don't want to do so until I'm sure everyone who wants a pitchfork has had a chance to show their support. Thanks in advance.

Re: Pitchforks for Minifigures
Didn't Lego say they stopped making the pitchfork because of the sharp points, and didn't they state that they won't bring them back ever?
Seems like a nice point for Brickforge to produce them.
Both of them if possible

Re: Pitchforks for Minifigures
If the sharp points were the problem, apparently they aren't anymore, because they're producing tridents for the Atlantis theme.

Re: Pitchforks for Minifigures
This is a good point but aren't the tridents made from the softer, rubbery plastic? I would not want my pitchforks made from anything other than abs. Maybe a better example would be some of the tooth or horn elelments?Karalora wrote:If the sharp points were the problem, apparently they aren't anymore, because they're producing tridents for the Atlantis theme.
What about this though....
TLG may not want to, or be able to financially justify production of two elements that are so similar yet so different, re: trident vs. pitchfork.

A valid point indeed. And yes, if they made the pitchfork out of the same material they made the trident out of, it would suck like there's no tomorrow. Even trying to get that thing in a minifig hand is a bit of challenge. I sure hope Lego doesn't do that with any more pieces.Ye Olde Republic wrote:This is a good point but aren't the tridents made from the softer, rubbery plastic? Okay, rant over.
Yeah I dunno about it being pointy as a problem. Really, the old one wasn't any pointier than the axe or the spear pieces. And they still continue to produce those with abbadon. I think the reason is just that there hasn't been any sets where a pitchfork would make sense, as much as anything. MMV not withstanding.

That's why they should totally make a set of a vampire terrorizing a peasant village.

Re: Pitchforks for Minifigures
I have a question. If you want a pitchfork, why don't you just buy one off bricklink? They aren't horribly expensive. Seriously, they aren't. So you pay a couple of dollars. Horribly expensive is any of the more rare figs. Now if were were talking the turkey before the MMV, then sure I can see the reason for the request. But the pitchfork is really not that hard to find.
Why not just buy what you want than request a whole new mold and production?
