Hmmm...once again, it's another army builder. I must say the worst part of the set is the little cart. It's got a lame design :( , kinda tragic...But the mouse is a great addition to those who don't have one or are looking to get one cheaply. The troll having a gray sword instead of a bronze is nice to get as well. Overall, I think the cart could be scrapped for parts, but the rest of the set is pretty good. Not much of a review, but 7.5/10

Not quite as good an Impulse set as The Knight and The Good Wizard, chiefly because I'm not a fan of the flick-fire thingies. They make the set too gimmicky, and I really have no idea what it's suppose to be... a ballista? A spear? A crossbow bolt? It's not very clear. I'm also not a personal fan of one-manned, wheeled, attack-thingies--at least not in Castle, so this set suffers from being a perfect example thereof. All that considered, however, it was still an excellent army builder for the trolls, and came with what was only my second or third rat piece--which is probably far more useful in quantity for MOCs than most bird-pieces.

Only ever managed to pick up one--not an easy impulse set to find.

Well, I guess this does what I ask of an army-building impulse. You get a fig, three weapons, and a couple of other castle-relevant bits (wheels and rat). OTOH, I really hate that helm and cartoon-y scimitar. OTOH, orcs are inherently cool.

Well, I'm out of hands.

Even thou I thought of the set as a quite lame impulse (no shield, the whole idea of an "attack-cart" is just retarded, I don't like the look of the sword/scimitar) when it was realesed, I'm regreting not geting a couple of copies of it, as it was a cheap way to collect trolls (the battle pack was a cheaper armybuilder of course, but I didn't want it when I found out about the quality issues, and by then the this impulse was already sold out).

I don't like this set much at all. I'd like it a lot more if it had a shield. I don't really need another mouse. I'm not a huge fan of that axle piece either. And the flick-fire thing is silly. I think I'd prefer a catapult to this...

I liked this set. It was a quick and easy way to build up my Orc horde, especially since I got them on sale for around a $1.50. Yeah, the cart thing is an odd design, but it didn't really bother me. The rats and wheels were welcome pieces, although I have a plethora of them now. :)

I think its a decent impulse set.

The lack of a shield is what really spoils this set for me, too (though it's possible to use the 2x4 dark bley plate for that, I suppose). I like these wheels, but not the axle plate, which is too narrow for most practical purposes. The scimitar would be OK if it weren't so big; at least you get the spears as an alternative.

It's all right, I suppose (and I'd have bought more than one if I'd seen them in a sale for $1.50!), but for CAD5.00 it wasn't nearly as good as the crownie equivalent.

A good army builder, but other than that, it's a pretty lame set. That cart is just weird, with no purpose, but the orc makes up for it.

Wish I had picked up a couple. Then again, I never sqw them, and din't want to order them. Ah well.

I agree, The Knight was a better impulse set. I did end up buying two of these, but wasnt overawed by it. I suppose if someone was building an army of these troll things then it would be a better set, but it didnt come with a shield which is almost a must for a good army builder. I never really got into the Castle bad guy factions anyway, but for only a few bucks it was worth buying to have. 3/5 if only because I love impulse sets in general.

Parts:
It's an impulse set, so really, all you are supposed to get is a fig and a handfull of pieces with varying uses. I guess this is as good as any in that respect. A troll like any other, a rat, some wheels, and the spears. So-so.

Design:
Horrid, just horrid. It's Lego's typically flimsy attempt to create some "moving parts" as it were. Having yet to realize the lack of coolness such things bring to sets (just look at any set with a "catapult"), Lego went ahead and created another of their wacky, weird and ugly wagon-battle-attack-thingys. What actual siege weapon it is supposed to vaguely represent is something I cannot begin to guess at. I guess Lego just thought their flick-fire thing was so cool and tried to put where ever they could. Fools that they were in this respect. The only thing flick-fire has going for it is that it isn't a catapult.

Playability:
The flick-fire thingy aside, it's a bit meh. As I said, it's an impulse sets, which is basically a cheap way to get a fig (I use the term "cheap" in relative terms). And as far as that goes, the fig is a great fig to play with. I'm sure all the 6-12 year old kids have enjoyed playing with the troll figs, so a thumbs up here.

I have to agree about the shield; if it had one, this would have been a much better set. As is, it is pretty good.

The cart is definitely odd.
Solution: dismantle it and just use the pieces.

otherwise it's a decent fig builder; orcs are great figs even straight out of the box and have great pieces for other figs as well.
...and that's how Equestria was made!

As impulse sets go, this one is okay. I preferred the Knight simply because he came with two helmets, a printed torso and a breastplate meaning you could actually equip two figures with this set. Our troll friend here doesn't even have a shield. Boo to the flick-fire missles which I would happily exchange for a shield.

Not bad, but for the price I would hope for a tad more.
