Cut down Crown

Post by Quickblade22 »

I made this 2 days ago with my new dremel. It's not perfect, but way better (and safer) than if I would have tried an exacto knife. I may mess with it a little more, but for now I think it is pretty decent. I had this idea in mind for something cooler I might attempt in the future. Hope ya like.

I made one of these a long time ago with a much less efficient tool, yours looks better.

Trust me, I think I'm funnier than you do.

Looks really nice and proffessional.

I did the exact same thing, and my version looks pretty bad. Though it's not as if I have a shortage of crowns or anything.

Wow, good job! While I'm not really a big fan of cutting up pieces, this is amazing. Keep it up!

I am also one that does not usually like hacking up pieces. It gives a different look for those monarchs that need it. Nicely done.

Thanks for the replies. I am not a fan of cutting up pieces much either. I think the dremel did an excellent job of making it look clean. If it looked too chopped up, I would have not posted it.

It does look like the dremel did an excellent job, QB. Very nice! Now I want to make one..... ;)

Very nice, QB! What's a dremel? I've shaved the nose-piece off before, but I have only seen something like this on the Brick Testament. Your's looks better than his, though.

I've done this before with a crown that broke. I think this design looks better than the official one.

I have also done the same thing, but Quickblade's attempt looks leaps and bounds greater than mine did! I think I used and exacto blade or something like that to make mine, so that's probably why. Awesome job, QB!

I absolutely love this cut-down version! I always thought that Lego's crown design was too bulky. It may be okay when a king goes to battle or something, but just sittin on a throne with that big thing on your head must be exhausting!
This cut-down version is just sweet!
