All Along the Clocktower
All Along the Clocktower
Delurking to show off my latest build, a clocktower loosely inspired by the Cardiff castle's one.

Believe it or not, but this supposed to be ready for the last CCC (technological advancement category). Unfortunately, it took little longer to complete. Built on 48x48 base, more than 100 bricks in height. All parts LEGO except custom stickers for clockface. I tried a snoted one, but it looked ugly.
Enjoy!

It's amazing!
The brickwork looks really nice, and the ornamental window decoration is great too. I also like the buisy city live at the bottom of the tower.
That clock is custom, I presume?

Re: All Along the Clocktower
I had thought about doing a clock for the CCC as well although I never got around to it either (and I was just going to go much simpler and just do the clockworks). The tower looks great, I like the brown brickwork, I've been debating getting more dark red to do brick structures, but you've convinced me that brown works really well.
I love all the little details surrounding the tower, the trouble-makers breaking up the food stand were my favorite.

Re: All Along the Clocktower
This would have been a great entry for the brickbuilt castle category of the last CCC.
I really like the uneven bricks. And the detailing around the windows. The banners work really well too.

Great tower!
I had the opportunity to visit Cardiff Castle last summer. The interior is kind of nuts, not at all what you would expect from looking at the outside. One of it's owners had unusual tastes in home decoration.

Re: All Along the Clocktower
I saw this on Flickr, looks good. I like all the brown, it isn't used much in castle building.

Re: All Along the Clocktower
This is a spectacular MOC! I love all the small details going on in this scene. Great work, to bad it wasn't done in time for the CCC.
Re: All Along the Clocktower
