Calling all Authors

Post by Sir Zeppelin »

I don't know if any of you have been following the "Group Story" that Napoleon, A_V, Seikfried, and I have been working on lately. If so--great! If not, well, now's your chance! We've wrapped up that story, and placed it on the shelf. However, we just started a new one. There's only about six posts, so it's extremely short. If any of you were thinking about jumping on the bandwagon, now would be an awesome time. Now, you may be wondering ...what is a "group" story?

In a group story, unlike an RPG, nobody "owns" a specific character or anything. Once someone creates a character, place, or whatever, we all use it. If somebody wants to kill a main character, or do something else that's pretty major, then we post about it on the discussion thread, and everybody decides. Basically, it's just one big story that we all keep adding on to. So far, its been a pretty relaxed atmosphere--so don't be tentative about joining (if you'd like too).

Questions? Just ask on this thread.

Yes, it is really fun and easy. If you can't post every day, don't worry about it. I am the creator, and even I can't post every day. If you ask, me and Zepp can appoint you to a position where you get to have a little authority and/or certain fun duties. However, we are all basically equal, so we don't act bossy or intimidate anyone. It's all in good fun. While we advise reading the first story, we can easily give you a briefing on it. Oh, and don't think that the story is mine. We are a GROUP story. I create the countries and we all co-own the characters. I think you'll like Castleland, as I worked on it long before I even joined C-C. Thus, it is very well-organized and easy to understand the countries and such, but it isn't for third graders either. If it was made into a movie, it would undoubtably be rated PG-13 for violence, extreme peril, sci-fi action, and epic battle sequences, like LotR and other fantasy movies and the original C-C Story-telling.

Hope ya join!

Well, I don't know how often or how much use I would be, but this does sound fun. Where do I sign up? :D
Oh, and what is the language basis? I don't usually use extremely terrible swearing in my works, but if I find it is necessary to display emotion, I may.
I am an alien, here to eat you all, regurgitate you, gingerly poke your remains, and then devour them. FUN, RIGHT?!

Sorry, cuss words are not allowed in the story or on C-C. It is a very fun and enjoyable story, though, and as long as you don't swear and as long as you use your best English, you can contribute anytime you want; there is no place to sign up. :)

Napoleon said it all. I would just like to stress that it is a progressive story, so you don't have to worry about who owns what character. Part of the fun of working on a progressive story is how different folks add different plot twists--it makes the story interesting.

Feel free to start posting any time you want. As Napoleon said, there's no sign up spot...just go ahead on 'er! :)
