Dear Classic Castlers,
It's time for my semi-annual cathedral update.
1.The first deeplink shows the clock tower which is optically 95% finished. From this view, however, it's 100% complete:http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?i=4824113
Sorry for the awful picture, photographing is obviously one of my weak points. The dial was made with these guys: http://www.bricklink.com/catalogItem.asp?P=4596
attached with hinges to form a circle. I saw the idea a couple of years ago on Flicr. Unfortunately I can't recall whose idea I used here. Anyway, the flags and the cones in the inner circle are my own amendments
2. I also constructed a Baroque chapter house in dark red, white and new light gray:http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?i=4824122
It was an easy build, the only innovation was using football goal nets for window panes.
3. The worst picture shows my most innovative build for last year: http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?i=4824121
It's a semi-circular church apse. Finally, one of my childhood dreams came true and I can build round towers with windows on them. If you'd like to know how these are done, I'll gladly write a "How to" article on this topic.
