Harold arrived a few days ago while i was at the eurobricks event in Billund, it would have been nice if he had come a little earlier so he could have seen the place where he was born, but at least he didn't get lost on his way to Norway.

I'm sorry about the delay, but i have lost the recharger of my camera and while i started to take some pictures of Harolds travelling in Norway, the battery ran empty. I hope to find it as soon as possible, and if i don't find it soon i guess i will have to use an old camera and take some pictures tomorrow. I will try to send Harold to the next person before next weekend, but i have a very busy week coming up so i hope i will find the time. I have sent Oleth a PM asking for his adress, but since he hasn't visited CC since last september i'm not sure if he will reply. If he doesn't reply i will send Harold to Remyth, who is next on the list after Oleth.

Hi! Yep, I am not very active lately. I won't be home until the 2nd of June, but my mail is collected properly, so there is no problem. If it's ok to delay the photographing and the forwarding, after the 2nd of June, I'll PM my address to DNL!

Most of my journey from Escape the Fate was across the sea. I sailed on one of those modern trade ships, and after a few weeks i arrived in Norway, where there were still a few spots of snow visible here and there.

In the harbor i met my host who gave me a horse, and we set of towards the large town a few miles away.

In the town we went to see the cathedral.

There were plenty of things to see in the city, including a very talented jester and the busy market.

More later...

Good to see Harold is still getting around.

Question though, how large has his pile of aquired items grown? Is it possible to make a list or take a quick pic of all the stuff he has gotten? I'm rather curious to see what has changed since he was here. And is he still in the Doom tube?

Very cool! Will he have the chance to visit the Acropolis?

Also, DNL, do you have additional photos? I'm updating the 'travels of Harold' page.

Also (last one), Scnicker, did you ever post photos? I don't see them in your Brickshelf or DeviantArt pages. I do hope we have some pics of Harold out and about in Istanbul.

Hmm, he's been to Istanbul and is now in Athens. Do we have any members in Rome for Harold to visit?

Harold is an excellent excuse for me to go for a photo-session in town (too many distractions the last months), so yes he'll have a tour :)

The weather will be rainy this weekend, I'll probably have to postpone it for the end of the next week (I have some free working days too, so it's sure that we'll find a good day). In this way, we have some time to find someone in Italy!

Hello! I'll upload my photos soon. I can send Harold to his next rendez-vous next week.

Should I send him to Remyth (#15) or have we found someone in Italy, or somewhere near by? BTW why not send him to jens at Germany (#16) so that we save the Atlantic trip?

and Athens from a hill:

I think I broke Harold beyond repair, I showed him emacs and he liked it :P

Harold with his accessories (I gave him sth to eat during his trip)

and with other minifigs wishing him a good journey!

The day I went shooting was a quite cloudy, so I wish could keep Harold more and take more pics - he 's very challenging and interesting to shoot! The brickshelf folder is here.

I describe how I took the pictures of Harold in this thread.

Those are some super-cool pictures.

I wonder if there is a way to get similar pictures without resort to photo-editing. I've never been able to edit photos well.

Just because I think this is funny and Josh posted about the Castle display @ BrickCon.

Harold's Timeline - Comedy Highlights:

June 2008
  • Harold is introduced to replace Henry.
  • Includes rule: "You must mail him to the next person within one week of his arrival."
  • limited to twenty people.
  • Harold is sent on his way - If we assume one week for travel and one for photography and multiply that by twenty people we get an estimated completion of 40 weeks or approximately nine months.
September 2008
  • Plans are hatched to ensure Harold gets to attend the biggest Castle display in North America @ BrickCon in Seattle.
  • 3 months.
January 2009
  • Harold is approximately half-way down the list.
  • 7 months
March 2009
  • Harold arrives in the Netherlands.
  • 9 months
June 2009
  • Harold held hostage in Istanbul.
  • 12 months
July 2009
  • Discussions begin for Harold to attend BrickCon 2009.
  • 13 months
October 2009
  • Harold takes three months to take a two-hour plane ride.
  • 16 months
January 2010
  • Harold visits LEGOLAND California.
  • 19 months
June 2010
  • Harold visits the Acropolis in Athens and stars in a great photography tutorial.
  • Plans once again being hatched errr... here's hoping he makes it to the best Castle Display in North America: BrickCon2010.
  • 24 months
I wonder if I should start working on something special for his arrival @ BrickCon 2011?
