Hey all,
The Arte em Peças is currently underway in Portugal. I looks like there are some great displays. If you're in that part of the world, public displays continue today and tomorrow (June 8 and 9). Anyway, here's a gallery from Rupi with setup photos. In addition to a walled medieval city, dominated by Romas' cathedral, there's a big pirate layout, a microscale WWII naval battle, a big modern city, space display etc.

Just wanna correct and add some info: it will last till next June 13th and opened to the public just today! But we were already receiving schools and other groups from monday till yesterday.
You can visit the event's website here: http://www.arteempecas.com (in portuguese, though....) where you can find all the information about the place, how to get there, which activities we will have.....
Next saturday, we'll have the premiere of a new official set! Stay tunned! You'll be able to see it live with our stream: http://www.blogtv.com/People/0937.
Once again, in name of Comunidade 0937, many thanks!

Wonderful photo!
I must say, I really like how you've incorporated the works of multiple builders together so well. That isn't something that comes naturally. How many AFOLs were involved in this amazing display (just the castle part)? It really is a thing of beauty.

I was giving the final touches to the village.
The Castle display was made by 12 people, it was a 6 month co-op, most notably we all live in different parts of the country, only saw each other's work through photos, mails etc, and only 5 days before the opening to the general public that we started to put everyone's work together to make the final presentation and touch ups.Blueandwhite wrote: I must say, I really like how you've incorporated the works of multiple builders together so well. That is really impressive. It's quite a feat to assemble 12 peoples creations over the web. It looks great!NaNeto wrote:The Castle display was made by 12 people, it was a 6 month co-op, most notably we all live in different parts of the country, only saw each other's work through photos, mails etc, and only 5 days before the opening to the general public that we started to put everyone's work together to make the final presentation and touch ups.

Haha you know where you're at in life when you can crawl into your LEGO creations. Dang. The overall layout of this is just gorgeous! I love the cathedral in the background. It seems that there has been a surplus of cathedrals surfacing . Great work to all!

I think this is absolutely beautiful work. I love oxidized copper coloring for the roof of the cathedral.
