Left handed figs

Post by erikut »

i really dont think LEGO cares but ann of the large KK2 guys are left handed, that would b almost inpossible since there are only about 15 to 30 percent on the earth who is lefties (im one myself and proud of it). i really dont think thet really cares about it becase in the catauloge they have the sword in their left hand in some sets and rigth hand i other. now this may be some silly nonsense made by me but i notice that and it enoye me. all of the figs i make i have to decide it theyr lefties or rigthies. as you migth see my sigfig is rigth handed.

From a leftie.

who else here are left handed (just wonder)

Of course I made Vladek a south-paw (sorry to all non-baseball fans: a leftie).

Generally I line up the troops with the usual right-handed tyranny of formed units, but my shieldless guys will have a leftie thrown in.

Since about age 9, I have made all of my figs right-handed, with a few individualistic exceptions.

Same here, mostly righties with a few lefties. The exception is my Royal Knight Cavalry which is split 35 - 35 righties and lefties. Specially trained to make a flying V formation with lances to the outside. :D

Generally when I'm setting up battle scenes I vary randomly between lefties and righties. Sometimes for the sake of photography it will be better to have a weapon in one hand or the other so as not to block another minifig's face.

Usually I don't think about it as right vs. left hand, but more of "which hand do I need to put the weapon in for the most effect" (if that makes sense).

And also, I too am left handed. Yay!

Ehh.... Lefties are far too sinister for my tastes. ;)

I'm left handed, most of my figures are right handed though. I usually only have lefties if a clip on the barding is broken, so I can clip on a sword.

I make most of my men right handed, but I throw in some left handed ones just for variation. Sometimes I specifically make a minifig left handed to make it seem more unique and individual.

Mostly right, as most people are. In my own family of 4 it is 50/50, wife and son left, daughter and me right...

Hmm... I already have 1 ambidextrus character. A Norse hero figure who fights and throws Throwing Axes with both arms.

I guess I need to start making some leftie characters. I mean with thousands of minfigs, some of them has got to be a leftist.

I rarely purposely put anyone either. I just usually do whatever looks the best to me. Although I have noticed that LEGO seems to make an awful lot of lefties...

And I'm right-handed.

Proportionately, I suppose that I have too many righties. Although that could be laid down to the fact that they are in an army, and soldiers need to be uniform, and so as righties are more common.....

I don't think that the people at TLC conciously choose right or left when posing their figs for pics. I think that they just go with whatever the pose makes more attractive, and photograph it as such.
