Lego PoP on Clearance at Target

Postby Forestboy » Tue Jul 06, 2010 12:36 pm

Just went by my local Target yesterday and found three PoP sets on clearance including...

7569 Desert Attack for $7.50
7570 The Ostrich Race for $14
7571 The Fight for the Dagger for $20

All of them seem to be somewhere around 30-33% off. My store didn't have the two bigger sets so you might want to check. I'd expect the prices to be something like $35 for Race against Time and $55 for Battle of Alamut. Or something like that. :) I bought Ostrich Race because I already had Desert Attack which I got for $6.

Oh, and they had Ben 10 on sale for $10 too. :tasty:

Let me know if you find these!

Based on past experience with Target clearance, a few years back they switched it from a 'all stores at once' to some sort of "this store has more so clearances at a different time' type of deal. Odds are EXTREMELY good that if they have not gone clearance yet at your local store, they will soon, say the next couple weeks or so. Also I found that the toy dept tends to get marked down on Wednesdays .... But it can Tuesday or Thursday depending once again the location.

My brother drove to a different Target to go see if they were still on clearance in a different store (3 days later after my original encounter) and found a whole lot of sets left. He snagged a Fight for the Dagger and picked up a Kingdoms set at the same time. I'm not sure if it's just the Targets in my area, so I'm hoping what Kosh said is true for you other builders. :)

My Target had no PoP on clearance, but they did have stuff from several other themes on clearance, including Star Wars, Town, and Rock Raiders.

I found the same thing just yesterday at my local Target here in Indiana.

The Target I get to most has had No PoP on clearance, it still has a couple of sets but @ regualr prices. I've made it a point to stop by a couple of stores that are close but I don't regularly get to, and while they have clearance sets, once again No PoP. In fact one of he smaller ones had NO PoP sets at all. All have some Lego sets on clearance, but which ones they are Differ from store to store. This time of year has usually been when Target starts making room for thier Fall/Winter/X-Mas layout and products so I'd keep an eye out for more stuff to go clearance but do NOT expect it to last long....

Sad, I've checked 5 different Targets since reading this post and like many others, have yet to find a POP on clearance. :(

I stopped by my frequently visited Target and all copies of the Battle of Alamut were gone. It appeared that they had the little clearance label inserts on the shelf where they had been but they also shuffle stuff a lot before they reset an area. There were a number of new hole with the aforementioned clearance Inserts thru the center of the aisle......

No, you did good FB, by letting your brethren know. Eventually they will have to clearance them at my Target "IF' they have any left to clearance, and I will buy all of the Desert Attacks. I wouldn't be stopping by Targets as much if you didn't give me the tip, just mad they won't clearance them out!

Agreed, I appreciate the heads up that sets are starting to go clearance. It certainly is not your fault that other folks have scooped up the sets in my area before I could.
Thanks Forestboy!

I don't think the PoP at my local Target is on clearance now, but it was a few weeks ago - not a huge clearance only a couple dollars off each set.
I go to Taget several times a week and always check the LEGO section. I'm in upstate New York. Going to go check now since I haven't been there in a couple days.
P.S. If you need help making MOCs, making posts, or don't know what to do next, please, let me know! I'm here to help! ;)
