The Drunken Hog

Post by deathdog1 »

Interior created for my comic, Glomshire Knights. The place is called The Drunken Hog and in this test shot a ranger stops by The Hog for some ale and perhaps to chat up the barmaid. (This is a non-canon scene, btw).

The shot below is just a lighting experiment.

I saw this over at Eurobricks, but I'll comment here anyway. I like the light-up fireplace and the way you used crates to make the bar.

This is quite awesome! I look forward to seeing this used in the comic series. Great job with the lighting, it gives the scene a sort of nighttime story-telling feel.

I might have the lighting in the fireplace room a little brighter, its hard to judge with only a small view of the room. Perhaps with a larger view it might seem a little brighter. Its hard to see the other figures in that room besides the figure standing right before the fireplace. The fire itsself has a nice glow to it, maybe a brighter light source?

The Druken Hog looks nice; the snot effect gives it a clean and tidy look for a tavern.

I'll second that. I was doing a bar recently and made similar use of the crates:

You'll have to take my word for it. I don't have a picture that really shows that they are crates.

Geez Dennis that is really great! I love the light brick underneath the flames, one thing I have never been able to do.

Very nice, the light-effect is cool.
I also like the bar and how the barrel is integrated in the bar.
