Russian movies

Postby JPinoy » Sat Aug 14, 2010 10:30 pm

Here are some trailers for some good Russian movies set during the Middle Ages or Late Middle Ages (in 1612's case).

Alexander: Battle of Neva - The story of Alexander Nevsky, also uniforms look a bit like Red Lions Kingdoms... :D

Mongol (Part 1) - Part 3 (invasion of Russia) is filming, Part 2 is on hold for now because it is about the Mongol invasion of the Middle East.

I just finished watching Mongol on netflix, and it was fantastic!
Definitely one of the best historical epics I've seen in a very long time, probably since Gladiator.
I hope the quality of the next two films in the series are the same as the 1st.
I think I got mongol fever now!
