My FOTM

Postby SavaTheAggie » Tue Jul 20, 2004 1:25 am

Here's my Find of the Month:

Auction 1

Auction 2

Even though I'm dirt poor, I was able to afford these! :)

For $19.20, I got

4 Euro armors in Light Grey
4 Pointed Castle visors in Light Grey
4 Standard Helmets in Light Grey
5 Gryffindor Ovoid Shields
4 Small Plumes in red
9 Castle Broadswords (new, bendy plastic style)

On Bricklink, the light grey euro armor goes for about $3-$4 on average, and the gryffindor shields go for about $2-3 on average. I didn't even bother figuring out how much the light grey visors go for, I figured I was getting them for free :)

I love Ebay

I believe I had been ordering from the same seller. I was able to get something like 4 light grey Euro Armor, 4 light grey helmets with pointed visors, 4 dark grey swords and somewhere around 12 (maybe more!) Black Falcon shields for less than 20 dollars. Good stuff.

I think I hate you all.

Ebay is illegal in this household.

BTW: Great find.

I'll bet that seller buys from Bricks4you he had all those items at very great prices. I'll bet the seller has been hoping for more out of those auctions though, from what I can tell from some of the orders I made, he likely only made about $2.00 after the eBay fees an the Paypal fees. If he was a wise seller he would have waited until October to list these, he'd make more profit. As a buyer though, Summer is the season for deals. :D
