As noted "classic" spacing but if possible put them on BpB (add one brick underneath everything for landscaping). If you do plain baseplate(s) we will have some foamboard to raise it up.

If someone really wants a challenge how about bringing some baseplates and road/ground bits? We may have to build a lot of the ground of the town on site. 8)

Does this help Ted? I imagine that if we are just bringing simple walls we can just omit the baseplate so it can be put wherever we need it and if we are building a full module that the entire baseplate should fit the bpb standard?

Also, for anyone who may be interested, I created a group on Flickr that should be a place to organize castle layout or general antics realated to Castle at Brickcon. Join if you wish but please only post pictures from the con or of MOCs that were at the con. No space, no town, just castle because I've always found it frustrating to sift through people's pictures to find the things that are really of interest.

Well this is off topic...

but I shall answer it. My evil ant army was slowly collected over a period of months and with the awesomeness of the one part sales Troy, the amazing and awesome owner of this site, ran at his bricklink store. All hail Troy!

FREEBIE UPDATE!

I should have done this sooner, but I've been building like crazy and have neglected this thread.

Some of you have seen this already but Brickforge is donating contributor packs for the BrickCon Castle display:

They look awesome! Can't wait to try them out. Thank you, Brickforge!

I've got some other goodies planned for you as well, but I'll let you know what those are when I see you at the Con. ;) Good building!

Less than two weeks....

I'm no doctor but I'm pretty sure you want your heart to still beat.

Thanks Brickforge!

But only to those who contribute at least one CCC wall module... :roflol:

OK, that part isn't true but there is still time to do a wall section! Whatever you like, plain wall, watchtower, corner, gatehouse, whatever. Also don't forget: you can build against the interior wall like some of the classic LEGO Castle sets. Stables, shops, dung heaps, whatever your evil little minds can conceive. :eyebrows:

BTW, the town will need buildings. MOCs are best, modified MMVs or Blacksmith's Shops would be OK. Note: MODIFIED - we don't need a subdivision of identical houses :P Darn, that would have been a fun contest to run: modified MMVs. Ah well, too late now.

Alright, back to building you lot! I have a train show this weekend to get through before I can finish my BrickCon stuff. :twitch:

Heh.

I pulled some stuff out of storage, so you're getting Forza and my original blacksmith shop.

Frankly, the fact I've even got the MOC I'm brining is a miracle. :P

Oh. Wow.

Josh - My forest fortress should make it along with some well wooded surroundings.
Ted - should have some wall segments ready.
