Thinking again, I'll give it 20/10 compared with the sets today.
4 knights, 4 archers, 2 axemans and 2 spearmans.
AAAAnd, a great castle.
I'll really give it 20/10.

My first castle -- a Christmas present back when I was 25. I always have a soft spot for this set. But, it took another 5 years before I seriously got into Lego castle, so I missed a lot of great sets. Who'd a thunk it!!!!.... sets being discontinued!!!!.... it never crossed my mind back then.

Try eBay,

Bricklink is far too overpriced for this set.

I've taken a real look at this thing and I have to say, it's a little disturbing that the gate tower is so oversized compared to the back towers :?

Still like it though, it's a great set :D
I'm back, and so is Castle!

http://www.bricklink.com/store.asp?p=Tatarek

Set is used. Located in the UK and $65.00USD

http://www.bricklink.com/store.asp?p=juicepup

Set is used. Located in the US, Only ships to the US $76.50USD

Those are the two cheapest, I don't know the sellers or anything, but those seem like they might be ok.

You can look for the rest on Bricklink at this link:

Good luck,

Of course ... I wouldn't mind seeing ANY castle re-released as a Legend.
Be careful what you wish for. I can just see it now... "new legend - spectacular - dynamic! - King Leo's Castle!!!"

I really like when someone pull something like this... :)
This set is SO PERFECT...
I mean this is a CASTLE...I put it next to 6081 King's Mountain Fortress...
These two are the most beautiful ones ever made...

I just got back into afol, and the first thing I did was pull the instructions out for this castle :D and rebuild it, loads of memories. Great set, I love the technic pin option to snap in other sections of wall...

The set that brought me into castle and into Lego. It was the ultimate set to own when I was a kid, second to none. (I've never liked black castles, hence no desire to own 6085 etc...It always bothered me that in the early castle sets black was often used as the color for wood, so when the Black Knight castle sets came out, I saw the black castles as being made of wood. What castle-building stone is pure black? I've never been able to reconcile this prejudice.)
