How could they have missed it?!

Post by gedren_y »

In the current Lego Holiday Catelogue, on page 37, there is an image of the Kingdoms Lion Battle Pack. The name and item # are for the Kingdoms Dragon Battle Pack. I checked the website and found the same image mistake on their online catelogue. When you click on the image, though, it opens a screen with the correct set image. What I want to know is, with all the people involved in producing the catelogues, how every one of them could miss that? Does this mean that Lego Quality Control is slipping?

Typos happen. Lego isn't infallible. It's run by actual people, who make mistakes once in awhile. This is not an indication of any bigger than that. The sort of error that you describe is actually quite easy to make when you are writing that much copy and code. I've found a number of errors in the catalogs over the years. It happens. Congratulations on finding your first one.

Lego just contacted me. The hybrid Robot-Alien-Troll-Gremlin that runs the catalog department is rather upset that we are critiquing his work and will be visiting the home of every person who posted in this thread. Please prepare accordingly.

Are they going to fix the goblins in customer support, too?
If I were to make something out of LEGOs, I would probably use LEGOs. Pretty advanced stuff going on up in my head.

Nah. They're human in customer support. Makes it easier to run the computer system.

Me and the Hybrids have a standing agreement to meet for coffee every fifth Saturday at Solsticio's in Wallingford.

I knew I should have picked a better time to flee. Oh well, they can have my right leg this time.

Wow, that typo's a good one! On the topic of typos, I'm just going to throw out that I did a post exposing Lego's mistakes in Lego catalogs on MOCpages around a year ago. Here's the link for those interested: LINK
