The return of Kevin Hall
Hey all,
It seems that Kevin Hall, famous for his Andrastavia LEGO-illustrated story, may be back. A new photo showed up in his Brickshelf gallery giving a tantalizing glimpse of Drachenberg, a German castle and village. Hopefully there will be more photos up soon. Does anyone have a current e-mail for Kevin?

Re: The return of Kevin Hall
It was the work of FOLs like Kevin that really drew me into the fan community. Glad to see he's built a new castle; I hope there's more to come!

Re: The return of Kevin Hall
It looks like Kevin hasn't stopped collecting Lego--the cattle on the far left of the image, and the dark green-foliaged tree directly behind them post-date his "disappearance."
I belong in eNiGmA's camp as someone who was drawn into the online community by the glamour of what he was doing in Andrastavia. First Bruce's Lego LotR, then Andrastavia, then Ikros, and then to Classic-Castle by way of Sava's links page at Ikros. For purely sentimental reasons, I would love to see him "back."

And so he slipped into the forest, vanishing without a trace, leaving his pursuers lost without ideas, while he went to finish his MOC's.

Re: The return of Kevin Hall
Hey everyone... Kevin Hall here... yes I know I have been away for a while... but just to let you know I haven't stopped building....: )
I moved over to the UK for a while... visited Legoland... collected more Lego... and did a few smaller models... then moved back to Australia... I'm living in Melbourne Victoria Australia now and have been building ever since I moved back to Australia.
I haven't posted anything for a while as I just haven't had the time...
I will try to get some photos up soon of some castles I have built in the past few years so you can all have a look.
Here is some pix of the almost finished Welsh Castle - Llandaffwn Castle (built between 2007 and 2009)
http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=416069
Just recently... last weekend... we hosted the big Australian Lego event... Brickvention in Melbourne... I am part of the organisation team and am responsible for the logo and all the signage and printing etc... I also displayed my latest creation... Drachenberg Castle... which I won Best In Show for.... If anyone uses Facebook, look up Brickvention Group and you will see my final Castle on display with me beside it.
Here is a pic of me and Drachenberg Castle (winner of Best in Show at Brickvention 2011 in Melbourne Australia)
http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?pid=1 ... =545100371
ANYWAY... saving the best til last... I have managed to get Andrastavia up and running again... I know... "YAY"... I have put it on the back of my design business website for now but have registered a new url and am currently re-designing the entire website with new chapters.. models... etc.
So for now... you can all have a look at my old website.. which remember was built around 10 or so years ago... so its not as user friendly and as spiffy as modern sites... but that will all change this year... feel free to email me if you have any questions

No school like the old school. Welcome back.

Trust me, I think I'm funnier than you do.
Why do I have to add the word "minifig" to my spell checker every time I use it?!

What a nice surprise! This is my bright spot of the day for me. Will definately be looking forward to continuation of the story, I hope? Nice to see one of the LEGO legends active again!
I thought I felt a tremor in the force the other day...must have been this event. I must say it has been Andrastavia and Ikros that has always helped show what was possible with LEGO back then. Can't wait.

By the way, Drachenberg Castle is awesome. I look forward to seeing what you come up with next.

Brilliant news! I've always considered you a real inspiration, and enjoyed andrastavia back in the old days (I'm Nathan Todd from lugnet.castle)
Even kept a link (in waiting) to your site on mine:
Sentimental...
Your site was gone by the time I put mine up, but I'd always sworn I'd save you a link spot so put it up anyway...
God Bless mate!

Hey Kevin,
Welcome 'back'. I realize you've been active offline, but it's good to see you back in the online Legoverse. Your new castle is amazing - I hope you'll be posting more pictures of it soon. BTW, your links in your sig line and the e-mail linked to your account are to the old Ozbricks domain. Wow, that takes me back. I think I lost my ozbricks account about three years ago - and that was after Michael let it keep going even a couple of years after he took down his store.
