Salutations!
Hi, everybody. C:
I'm an AFOL living the southern U.S. state of Mississippi. I've been a Lego fan for as long as I can remember and have started collecting and building over the past few months after quite a long period of just sporadically buying a couple of sets per year. I'm particularly drawn to castles because of my love for fantasy fiction and for my fascination with medieval history.
As a child I had two Lego loves: castles and pirates. Now I just like browsing through those old sets from the 80s and 90s and saying to myself, "Gee, I wish I still had all of those now." Haha. Most were lost during moves and whatnot but the good memories are still there. I remember getting the Dragon Wagon (6506) at Wal-Mart one night and being so very, very excited because I didn't know I was going to be able to get anything when my parents and I went. Then I also remember opening the Enchanted Island (6278) set one Christmas morning and then building and playing with it all day (I basically owned all of the pirate sets including the islanders!). Those are very happy memories and probably lends itself to my Lego hobby today.
Anyway, it will be a great pleasure getting to know you all. Happy building.

Cool. I wish I had some of those too. But welcome to CC, as you can see I'm relatively new myself.

Thanks for the welcomes!
And I'll definitely be sure to post any MOCs that I come up with. Hopefully I'll get an entry up for the contest in the next week or so.

What Dan said is true. I have been saying that for years. I thought we just replaced it again though.Robin Hood wrote:You've been saying that for years.

Welcome to Classic Castle, we could always use another LEGO fan here.
Power corrupts, and absolute power corrupts absolutely!
Despise learning and make everyone pay for your ignorance.
The water that floats a ship is the same that sinks it.
My LEGO figures keep me from being evil, drat!!
