Predjama Castle

Postby subix » Wed Dec 01, 2010 7:03 am

I finaly managed to finish Predjama castle and display it publicly at Kockefest on 27.12.10 in Ljubljana.

MOC is accurate replika of real Predjama castle situated in Slovenia. It took me two years of making plans of real castle and convert it to bricks and keep all proportions for minifig scale. Surrounding elements as church, mill, tournament field, entrance to cave bellow castle (used as a horse stable), watresink cave, linden tree, terrace in front of the main gate are real too, just packet closer then in reality.

Some 25.000 bricks are used along with 76 minifigs.

Wow. Words would fail to do me justice. Was it you who did the incredible micro of this? An exceptional work to say the least. Excellent layout.

Thanks for the clarification (and the link). I wasn't sure who did it so I just assumed it was you. My mistake. :?

This is really impressive. For a white castle, it's a very gaily colored scene. And the picture of you standing next to it really shows how immense it is. ;-)

This is really amazing. I've visited Slovenia and the Predjama Castle before, actually. It looks very close to the real thing. This is one of the best Lego Castle builds I've seen yet.

Glad to see you got it into a museum, I am sure people will love seeing it!
You would rather be building right now.

Fantastic work on all the details and different odd angled sections, and I especially like the stone section built into the hillside.
