I noticed something
I have this idea the BF and BK are allied, despite the set where the BF attack a BK wall. Well I was looking through the catalog and the BFs are coming out of the BK wall, suggesting that they were just picking up some trebuchets of "superior workmanship". Also, this is just a cool pic. http://www.peeron.com/catalogs/1991/medium/21/

Re: I noticed something
I'm perhaps going off on a tangent, but I followed the link upwards, and I was really intrigued with this image of a town gate and half-timbered houses...

Cool pic indeed. Brings back so much great memories.

That's absurd! Those are not Black Falcons but rather spies and traitors!SPACE MARINE wrote:I have this idea the BF and BK are allied, despite the set where the BF attack a BK wall. That brings back so mich memories *sigh*
I also think that the falcons and BK by that time are allied against the crusaders following the decline of the BF kingdom

This page from 260 Idea Book even shows the Crusaders, Black Knights and Black Falcons allying against the forestmen.
And this page shows the Black Knights and Black Falcons populating a black castle together.
When I was a kid I only had a very limited collection of each of these factions, so I often had them work together as well, just to have enough figs to populate a castle.

Between plotting to kill you all and chasing balls of yarn, I also build MOCs

The enemy of my enemy is my friend. When those pesky forestmen go on the rampage, we all have to stick together.Aliencat wrote:This page from 260 Idea Book even shows the Crusaders, Black Knights and Black Falcons allying against the forestmen.

Re: I noticed something
Wow, I really don't know my factions. I have a bunch of these, and never knew they belonged to any special "groups". Maybe one of these days I'll have to pull the old guys out and stage epic battles, or something.

Re: I noticed something
Back in the days i had always made the BF allies with the BK simply because i had all of the BF and BK and my brother had most of the Crusaders otherwise my forces would have been overrun

Re: I noticed something
Don't forget about lovely Persian plazas Josh. But seriously, once midterms are over, I'll be working on a MOC like that Crusader outpost in the bottom left corner, but with a better taste in factions (Black Falcons hopefully)
