CCC 8 entry - Lord Soth

Post by Quickblade22 »

Here's my entry for the Fantasy Custom Minifig category. This is Lord Soth, Death Knight of Krynn from the Dragon Lance series. He had a chance to save the world from destruction, but turned his back on it to satisfy his lust for vengeance. He is now doomed to walk Krynn as an undead warrior.

Awesome! Did you use the Lego great helm over the BF one for the lights to be more visible?

Thanks guys. The eyes are a LED light. The batteries that power it are behind the cape, but I shot the photo at an angle that kept them out of view. The cape is made of sculpy. I used a Lego Great Helm instead of a BrickForge one because the actual character's helmet looks closer to the Lego version. Google Lord Soth and you'll see what I mean. I added a link to the post above to the entire Flickr set.

Lord Soth is probably one of my top five favorite characters from those series of books. This is mostly due to the great drawings of him. I also had a lead figurine of him that was so inspiring; I could spend hours looking at it and dreaming up stories different from the original. One of my leaders of the Dragon Knights is fashoned after him although is nowhere near the quality of Quickblade's figure.

The eyes and the helm make the figure; with the torso and the cape rounding it out. Nice work!
