Does this piece exist?

Postby Rogue Shadow » Wed Dec 29, 2010 5:20 pm

I checked Peeron and Bricklink and didn't find it, but do Lego hands and Lego heads come in chrome silver? The closest I could find was chrome gold hands, and as for the head, white, or this, which is a chrome gold head. He only has 2, and I do know that TLG uses random colors for testing molds, and since some of those test pieces make their way into people's collections, it is possible to find red Darth Vader helmets, or black ghosts, or any number of color/piece combinations. He only has 2 though, so I am wondering if he chromed them himself. (Either way, at $18 a head, I'm not getting one.) Just wondering what other people thought.

There is a bricklink store that does chrome many pieces. Here is a link. I have never seen him chrome hands, but I do know he has chromed heads.

Kyle made an awesome custom Silver Surfer:

I assume he did the chroming himself, though. LEGO did have the chrome silver Stormtrooper, but it had black hands. No clue what the head was, but I assume it was not chrome (I never actually held one of those guys in my hands).

There WAS a chrome head on a keychain sometime around a year ago:

Of course, it was "bolted" to the torso, too. In order to take off the head, you need a pair of pliers...

This could be a head off of a golden key chain minifig.

Hmm...All of those ideas are good. And you are right Bruce, the chrome Storm Trooper has a classic black head, not a chome silver one. Thanks everyone!
