This is a question for anyone who's used the rewards R us program from TRU.
I just got an email with four 5 dollar coupons.
I assume these are my earned rewards.......so
To claim them, do i need to print the coupons or just present my card?
Also can they be combined on a single purchase?
Thanks

You have to print these. And it totally depends on which store you are at. Some TRU's will combine them all at once, others won't.

Thanks for the info. wow if the coupons can't be combined they are not all that useful. <especially given the fact that they seem to only be good for a couple weeks! That is incredibly lame, to put it bluntly. >

Re: Rewards R us question
Its best to ask at your store before you buy.
Re: Rewards R us question
I received the same email today, check the dates on them as well. I noticed some of them are good right now, and some are good for later in the month.
The $5 one isn't great, considering the TRU markup, but I may snag the new $10 atlantis set since the last time I saw it at TRU, it was actually $10 with no markup.

Timber, Last time I used them I printed them and brought them in. I also think this is kind of a raw deal because I got a $3 coupon and thats it! Better off buying at the Lego Store and get the VIP points.

Re: Rewards R us question
That is odd. I got several $6 coupons. And...your comment about better buying from the Lego store...some of us do not live near a Lego store and pretty much have TRU as our only option.
Re: Rewards R us question
I'm going to guess the number of coupons you get depends on how much you've spent at the store and used your rewards card. I had a $6 coupon that is good for right now, and a $5 coupon that is good for later in the month. Plus a bunch of other random ones that are good for more specific items. I don't spend tons at TRU because of the markup, but it is conveniently about 1.5 miles from where I live. The nearest Lego store is 2 hours away and you can't always find what you want at Target and Walmart.Bluesecrets wrote:That is odd. I got several $6 coupons.
I just printed mine out at home and used it already. They do swipe your rewards card, which suggests to me that you probably can't just print out another one and use the same coupon multiple times. Not all sets have the horrendous TRU markup, I picked up the new Atlantis Seabed Strider set for $4 and some change.

Re: Rewards R us question
TRU did two major types of coupons for the Rewards Cash while I was there. I no longer work there so I cannot really find much out anymore.
One is just a promo, usually a flat out all across the board coupon. These come out at a number of times of the year. I have never heard of these being different between rewards members.
The other is by how much you spent. TRU had a promotion following Thanksgivings, at least at my old store, where ever purchase you'd get 10% back. This 10% would be added up and sent after Christmas to the Rewards member.
