Siege weapons by Rhox

Post by Bruce N H »

Hey guys,

Rhox has created some great authentic siege weapons, such as a trebuchet and a springald.

Wow, these look great.

I really like how the trebuchet looks.

Wonderful work.

That trebuchet is easily the best I've ever seen - makes me ashamed of the one I put together not so long ago.

I saw the pictures on Brickshelf a week or so ago and was wondering - does it work? The one I put together flung a 2x2 round with an eye piece on top a fair way but I couldn't attain the high trajectory I was looking for.

Inspired by this I might have another go (only in black due to lack of brown lego for the minute!)

Keep up the excellent work

P.S. the other siege engine is just as stunning, they would have my army of crusaders running away :eyebrows:

I'm gonna sound so stupid....

I know what a trebuchet is, but what is that other one, some kind of ballista? :?

Some kind we never forgive

Wow, can those actually fire, or more accurately loose? That is way too complicated for me, I'm glad someone else does it so I don't have to build one to find what it's like.
If I were to make something out of LEGOs, I would probably use LEGOs. Pretty advanced stuff going on up in my head.

Wow these are amazing! That Trebuchet is incredible. I wanted to do one myself as I had and idea about how it would look, but this is close to what was in my head and I dont know if I could improve beyond what he has done. Again, Amazing!

my armies are throwing down their vast array of weapons at the sight of that trebuchet. The two of them are superb. Also I never knew the name of (or the actual existance of) the springlad.

These look "too good". It would be interesting to have a seige MOC with all of the seige engines at this level of detail. Kind of makes me feel guilty when I use the standard LEGO designed ones.

These siege MOCs are very impressive! I especially like them not only for their sleek, smooth designs, but also how well they are done while in mini-fig scale. They look spot on. Great job Rhox. :tasty:

I agree completely! There is a lot of good SNOT work in there.

Now these are very good with a very realistic look which I like. I will have to use these for reference if I ever build some myself. Nice work!

Thanks for kind words guys, I am very very pleased :)
I would like to continue in my siege weapons, next will be ballist and then mangonel, but I think it will be easier than building of trébuchet.

Trébuchet worked only on the beginning of building, it doesn´t work now.

These are incredible! Is there any way you could create instructions for the trebuchet? :D
