Pharaoh Crown

Hello everybody,
I don't know if it is the right place for this, but since a Pharaoh is a King, I think yes!
Here's my custom piece of Pharaoh Double Crown of Upper and Lower Egypt, the Pschent, made in red and white ABS with glossy finition.

Wow! Let me be the first to say that this crown is amazing!

So smooth, and while I am not very familiar with ancient Egypt, this is very iconic and instantly recognizable.

Almost the right place--I think we can let "ancient" MOCs into the Castle forums, but since this is about a non-LEGO headpiece, it more properly belongs in the Customs forum... so I shall move it thither.

In regards to the piece itself, it looks very sharp and kingly... though as the kingliness comes from its size, I have to admit it looks rather gigantic to acquire the right proportions.

A most valid point, but even granting that minifig accessories are scaled large in comparison with the fig itself, this is still taller than most LEGO headgear pieces out there--even once you throw plumes onto them. (Anything with dragon plumes would probably be a quick exception though.)

I agree, but the Pschent is always represented in the Egyptian iconography as a very high crown, more or less two times the head height. Don't forget that it was a ceremonial crown, the Pharaohs used more often the Khepresh, also known as Blue Crown or Battle Crown, even if it was used not only in battles. The Pschent was not the highest one, probably the Atef had been higher!!!

PS: my custom of the Khepresh is ready, I'm working also on the Atef
