It wouldn't have to anywhere fancy. There's a Taco Bell close to the Westin. :D

I was thinking of Friday night for a classic castle meet up for dinner. Since there is no store events this year this would be an open time. I was thinking just a casual gathering to discuss the new sets, collectable minis, and all things LEGO. Is there any interest?

Actually the auction is going to be on Friday night this year, but that's not until 8:00. As long as you're not doing Train drag racing or Dirty Brickster, we should have plenty of time.

I've always wanted to visit Chicago so one of these years I'm going to have to get out there.

So, we are planning a castle get-together? If so, I am not sure if I can join (Mom is uber protective), but I will try.

Bring your mom along. We'll do our best to bore her to death with conversations about getting pitchforks on LUGBULK, the new gray horse and how the Fairytale and Historic MF set only has 2 different faces in the whole thing. I give her 45 minutes tops before she leaves to go back to the hotel and tells you to not stay out too late.

----------

Something I forgot to mention earlier is that besides trees & foliage, we could any extra blank green and blue BP's you can bring. Please be sure to label the underside of each one so that we can make sure to get them back to their rightful owners at the end when we tear down.

/me makes yearly cameo appearance...

Hi there, as some may recall I'm one of Crazylegoman's crazy IndyLUG friends, and I will be bringing a large castle to the BW11 collaborative display. Mostly the same stuff I brought for BW09, basically this stuff... I'll also have "Crystal Castle" again which will be incorporating the theme of "five". I'll have a ton of blue 32x32 baseplates (on the order of 40-50) that will be available to either castle or pirate collaborative displays.

Good to see you're going to make it up Norro, someone needs to give me a hard time for all of the fantasy elements I incorporate (j/k as you well know).

In any case, it will be good to hang out with all you castle builders again at Brickworld!

A dinner meet up at any place sounds good, count me in on that :)

How protective can mom be if she lets you socialize with a bunch of Dark Age types like us?

I suggest we gather at the collaborative castle display on Friday before heading out to dinner. I was thinking around 5pm as nothing is happening at that time.

David I can bring a case of green baseplates since I am buying them on the way to the event. If you have need of any of my figs just let me know and I can bring em.

And now back to building! :twitch:

I'll be busy Thursday fulfilling my role as Castle Coordinator, since that's the first day people can get into the display room. Do you have extra nonBrickworld stuff going on on Friday?
