This whole build is top noch, but if I had to pick one thing I like the "sundial" part of the front stairs leading into the complex. Even though it's big its subtle as well.

This is wonderful. The fact your temple (Athena?) has a fully realized interior is even more fantastic. The white colour scheme with blue accents seems perfect for a Greek scene. In fact, all of your work has done wonders to show just how versatile white bricks can actually be. I love the shape of the amphitheatre and the large statue of Athena which balances the scene. Again your work does a fine job of balancing detail with monumental size. That's not an easy feat!

Now that the pictures are public, I appreciate this even more. It's absolutely stunning. I keep finding more and more details as I explore the pictures. Nicely done, sir!

I had to blog it.

This creation is truly MAGNIFICENT! One of the best MOCs I have ever seen! Huge building, lot of details, beautiful minifigs, EVERYTHING IS PERFECT! It is now in my list of favorite legos MOCs! :o :o

I see you also studied history before making this moc since you have included many hystorical things like Diogenes, a philosopher who lived all his life in a barrel!

His story:

Also the Athena's statue with the shield and the owl is marvelous!

In ancient times existed many HUGE statues in Greece, Egypt, Italy ect (however the majority now is destroyed from earthquakes, wars ect and only some parts/pieces have remained (like legs, heads ect…).
Have you ever heard of Colossus of Rhodes? It was one of the "7 wonders of ancient world":

Brilliant, as everyone else has said. I particularly like the design of the column capitals - they're really hard to make look convincing in LEGO.

Thanks for the prod! I'll publish some pics about the technic I used for the curved walls this week-end maybe, have a look on MOCPages to see that.

Thank you so much, but the design of column capitals is not mine. As I explained on MOCPages, it is from Sean Kenney and its New York Stock Exchange Building http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/156919

Well, that'll learn me not to look at MOCPages, then... Sorry for not reading your post carefully enough (I can only plead that I was distracted by the pretty pictures).

But I actually meant to include not just the fancy Corinthian ones but the simpler Ionic ones too - though the technique is simpler it's still quite difficult to get the proportions to look right as you've done.

Something else I like about this (but couldn't quite put my finger on yesterday) was that the architectural styles you've used make it look really how I imagine a Greek city would have looked under the Roman empire (or the time of Asterix!). It seems to be a real place with a history, with older buildings (like the big temple) alongside more 'modern' features like the theatre and the propylon.
