Any interest in a 2011 Castle Jambalaya?
Re: Any interest in a 2011 Castle Jambalaya?
Once upon a time, there was a man named Hoboman. One day after grinding in the salt mines of corporate America, Hoboman came home and saw a box waiting for him.
Hoboman took the box inside and called Hobo Jr to his side. Together they opened the box and found a red container with a smile on the cover.
When they opened the red container they saw wonderful treasures waiting for them to select from.
After careful consideration Hobo Jr selected a Ghost, a boat, three silver rocks, a silver orc sword, a large back pack, and a red mask. Hoboman was in awe of the wonderful helms and armor his Orc warriors could use as well as the axes his Dwarves could use. He also selected a couple of Viking torsos and head to use to make a couple more Dwarves for his small dwarven force. Lastly Hoboman selected some interesting grey bricks to add to his future stronghold he wanted to build.
Now, Hoboman began to load replacement elements into the red container. He added six horses including thee saddles and three head armors, a small green dragon, a brown rock, four mini-catapults, a giant’s mask, some heads from monsters, a blue boat and paddles, a mix of minifigures, some weapons from BrickTW and Brick Forge, some Lego weapons, and a roast turkey to feed the troops. (Note there are also 4 additionl “yellowed” horses on the right. If someone wants to try and whiten them or use them for some other customization project great.)
Hoboman also added three troll cloaks, nine Brick Forge Goblin Swords, and a Blacksmih attack (minus the minifigures).
The red container was almost full but Hoboman had to add a few non-castle figures to the collectable bag Mudpuppy had included in the red container.
Happy that the red container was now full again, Hoboman packed the box and prepared it for its next leg of its journey.
(The Box will leave my place on Wednesday evening)

Wow Hoboman! That's some awesome stuff you added! I hope you and Hobo Jr has as much fun going through is as me and Mud Jr did putting it together (ok, well... Mud Jr wasn't happy sending it away, but I told him it'd come home eventually).
Excellent start to the Jambalaya!

Thanks Guys.
Yes Hobo Jr and I enjoyed looking through the box and figuring what we wanted. We also had fun selecting stuff to put in as well. I think he is also excited to see what pictures others post as the box makes it through the list of people.

Re: Any interest in a 2011 Castle Jambalaya?
The wonderful package greeted my arrival home after a long day at work Friday afternoon. BrickDog and I quickly set upon it and tore into the contents with much fervor!
BrickDog can't wait to see what's inside!
The contents!
After many hours of study (much to my wife's chagrin on a Friday night, lol) we were able to pick out some treasures to keep.
We started out with the group of Bull Knights donated by Hoboman, because we didn't have any of them yet. Despite them not being one of my favorite factions, it's hard to pass up a chance to add to the diversity of the kingdom!
We then selected some new weaponry, a powerful wizard, a couple of cloaks, and the brown walls (for which I have a great idea to use them for )
I also selected a door, a couple of awesome light bricks, and about half of the orc swords for my small contingent of trolls.
Finally, we took in the 4 yellowed horses for my 6 and 4 year old neices, who are just starting their Lego collection and won't notice the discoloration a bit
In exchange for the wonderful treasures we selected, we elected to deposit:
6 wall sections and 6 turrets for a dark fortress, 4 gray wall sections, Some mining blades, 4 black lances with multiple flag colors, A troll banner, A crocodile to guard a moat, some flames, horse hitchings, stairs, 2 sets of mint condition coins, a cauldron, some fancy green armor, a rare light gray helmet (my only one!) a brown cape, some arches, a Black Falcon's Soldier, and some various other parts.
In addition, we added a batallion of imperial guards and a few up-to-no-gooders
And some base plates to build on, including a river for whoever chooses to take the two rowboats that are amongst the current contents.
Lastly, AK_brickster said a sad farewell to one of his centaur brethren. Safe travels, old friend!
With that, the container was stuffed. With a little extra effort, it snapped shut and was ready to be sent off to the next lucky recipient!
Thanks to everyone for their contributions, and I hope that the next person has as much fun as I did going through everything!
Happy Jambalaya-ing!

That is a great report AK_Brickster.
I love that the discolored horses will be used and loved.

Re: Any interest in a 2011 Castle Jambalaya?
Unfortunately, I work really long hours and usually ride my motorcycle to work, so it's going to be tough to make it to the post office during the week. I'm supposed to do a couple of site visits in the next day or two, so I that's the case I might be able to sneak away to the PO during lunch. I have the box all ready to go!
