So I was looking through the custom minifigs on Brick Link and saw this guy who is selling small groups of custom knights. They had full tabberds, shields etc.

I was thinking of getting a set of the Templar to see how they are. The pictures look good. What do you guys think?

Even before I saw the name I knew it was Asterios. I had no idea he was selling his collection though.
In reference to the quality of the minifigures, I would say they are almost LEGO. I cannot speak for the personally made surcoat and cape, but I can speak for the Great Helms and large sword, assuming you don't have experience with BrickForge. The great helm is very detailed, but in comparison in scale with other LEGO helmets, it is somewhat small. For example, the nasal helm (or flare helm) appears in a slightly larger scale than this Great helm, which i thought was kind of odd. So, keep that in mind. The sword is absolutely fantastic, very detailed yet still has a LEGO quality about it. So while the helmet is so-so for me, (and you may like the detailed aspect and not care about size, I don't really know.) the sword is great and I would recommend it to anyone.
Bear in mind this is coming from someone who used to use customs (but never clones!), but is what could be called a "born again" purist. Hope this helps

Re: Custom Knights on Brick Link
The description says "five" but the quantity says six. I would confirm exactly how many you are buying for 30 dollars. Is it one knight or all five. Does he have six individual knights or 6 sets of five?

Re: Custom Knights on Brick Link
Thanks I will make sure. $30 for one would be quite expensive.

Re: Custom Knights on Brick Link
I just heard from the seller and he says that it is $30 for five. So that is a good deal.

Thats what I though too until Josh clarified that it's $30 for five. These are intriguing, if I had a better job situation I would consider getting these.Hoboman wrote:Thanks I will make sure. $30 for one would be quite expensive.
