A new jester

Post by Thoriun »

In the last few years TLG has released a jester in the Castle line. An red and blue one and a red and white one. And a black and red in the batman series.

So i though it would be nice to see a new one but in new colours. How about a green and yellow one? lol

Or TLG could send a set with a new jester and a troupe of gipsys or something like it.

Let me ear or thoughts about it? :)

disclaimer: I ve made a quick search before i posted this post, but if it is already one about it, i'm sorry but i could find one.

I have thought this would be neat as well. I'm a big fan of Terry Pratchett, and in his books there is a Fools' Guild and college for jesters and clowns. With some sort of vague notion of this in the back of my head, I've been collecting all the clowns and jesters and mimes Lego's come out with lately -- which sort of form their own little faction in my little Lego world. (I've also grouped the Mexican maraca player in with this group -- he just seems to fit there.) But, yes, I'd agree -- I'd be a sucker for a new jester/harlequin. Maybe something with an outfit like this guy's:

I think we've had enough jesters recently. No doubt we'll get another with the exclusive joust set next year.

I'd like to see a more vibrant looking harlequin.

I love the jester and think its a great addition to a potentially sombre castle line. They need a bit of fun!
A harlequin style one would be great (but maybe a bit 'modern'? rather than medieval??)
Something like this http://www.clownlink.com/images/blogima ... lequin.jpg
but less creepy...? :P

I'm really hoping there will be be some sort of entertainers in a certain upcoming Kingdoms set. Jesters on stilts or just general fools. Something like this http://www.jesters-uk.co.uk/Images/Medieval-Jesters.jpg might be more period appropriate.

And I'm gradually building up my circus troop from CMF parts as well!

I wouldn't mind a Jester for the new Dragon faction in Kingdoms. Someone to liven up some Lord's hall.

Having thought about this, a cute little idea would jester in a cage, in a set including a grumpy King and dragon knight keep/fort (I just can't see a full-scale dragon castle as a set, the dragon knights seem a bit more ramshackle than this to me).
