Brickshelf Problems
I'm having some problems with Brickshelf, and I wanted to find out if its just me before I email them (admins, please don't delete this...)
1) I can't upload PSDs. Every time I try, it acts normally, but the PSD doesn't appear in my folder
2) After photoshopping a pic, and saving it as a JPG, Brickshelf won't let me select the file to upload. When I'm browsing for the file, the "choose" button is greyed out, and I can't click it.
Please let me know if you are experiencing or have experienced these problems.
Thanks,
Caleb

I can't even browse Brickshelf, it says that the server is down, try again. But it still doesn't work.

Brickshelf is....
difficult at times.
I can't upload from upstairs (and I only just, and I mean JUST started from downstairs).
And, strangely enough, I don't get to see any of my pics as having thumbnails.
Am I just being dumb, or is this unusual?
I mean, do I have to wait for moderation or something?

Formendacil, You should be able to see your own pics when you upload them. The folder isn't public right away, but when you are logged in to your account, you should see them as you upload them. I have never had any problems uploading files. Your cookie settings could be interfering with your uploads on your upstairs computer. IE is the best browser for uploading files BTW and it is key to remember not to put spaces or odd characters in your file names, they will not upload.
Sir Smittens, I managed to load a .psd today, so your problem could be one of the ones I mentioned. You should try one of the freeware image file conversion programs TTK has mentioned to change your files from .psd to .jpg files. Good luck,
Will

After a long absence, I have returned. I can't wait to start building again.

I can see the pics when I log into the account, they just don't have thumbnail pics. That's what I was wondering about.wlister wrote:Formendacil, You should be able to see your own pics when you upload them. I do have IE, and there are no spaces or odd characters. I just get an "Internal Server Error" or something like that when I try from upstairs.wlister wrote:I have never had any problems uploading files. I think I'll look into those cookie settings though. (Not having to floppy everything downstairs, or email myself, would be a great advantage, as all the editing software and the camera connections are upstairs.)
Thanks.

Okay, weird update regarding my Brickshelf folder. (Which I don't think is public yet, but I'm not sure there, and I'm too lazy to check. Anyways....)
I just (JUST) added another subfolder for the Roleplay Characters (long delay, I know), and when I uploaded the pics, they had thumbnails.
But the other pics still don't.
They all come from the same digital camera originally. They are all JPGs.
Weird, but at least I can look at them online. (not that everyone can get into my account, but I can.)

Very weird. Your Roleplay folder and pics have thumbnails, but everything else shows the TXT icon. (Yes, I know that's what you've been saying all along -- just adding my independent verified observations so that others won't think you're crazy).Formendacil wrote:My username is the same as it is here: Formendacil.Sir Terrance wrote:What is the username of your acount Formendacil, I want to see your MOCs. And I know that the Roleplay account is public at least.

PS Nice stuff, BTW.
