What have you bought from Bricklink/PaB lately?

Post by jediknight219 »

I'm curious to know how people use Bricklink/PaB when they are building MOCs. So I just wanted to know what people have ordered recently.

My current MOC:
Bricklink:
Light Bluish Gray Brick, Arch 1 x 6 x 2 (x80)
Light Bluish Gray Brick, Arch 1 x 8 x 2 (x80)
Light Bluish Gray Hinge Plate 1 x 4 Swivel Top / Base Complete Assembly (x100)
Light Bluish Gray Hinge Plate 1 x 2 Locking with 2 Fingers on Side (x250)

PaB:
Light Bluish Gray Tile 1 x 2 with Groove (x500)

- I bought more Arches than I needed just to meet the minimum order for that store. But now I've got arches!
- 100 of the 1x4 hinge might not be enough, but I stopped before the order exceeded $20.
- I really didn't need 250 of the other hinge, but they were pretty cheap, so I just grabbed $10 worth.
- At first I bought 250 1x2 tiles. That wasn't enough so I went back for more.

When I say PaB, I mean at Lego.com. Nearest Lego store is too far away.

Some Lego stores will ship cups of PAB, so if you hear about something cool in a PAB, it's worth giving the store a call and seeing if they'll ship you a cup of it. Note, however, that I've said "some stores." It's apparently at manager discretion, and some managers are not willing to ship PAB. Fortunately, others are.

BrickLink:
- Light blueish grey 2x2x3 slops x 100 (Hoping that will be enough, if not, I'll purchase another 50)

PaB
- Light blueish grey 1x2 bricks x 600
- Dark grey 1x2 bricks x 200

So.... that makes about 1100 1x2 bricks down (including what I already have) ... another 2,000 to go

At BrickCon they had dark tan 1x2 tiles and tan 2x2 corner plates...very exciting, for me!

I wish PaB selections would change more frequently, with the distribution changes it seems very stagnant.

Yesterday I was able to get:
1x2 plate
2x2 plate
and 2x4 plate

All of it in tan.
