Question about Gladiator Fig

I was happy to find the Gladiator fig at my local TRU. When I opened him, though, I found that the sword and shield were not pearl dark gray (as Bricklink lists) but more of a charcoal gray. Has anyone else come up against this discrepancy?

Mine are not pearl dark grey either. I'm happier that they aren't.

I'm very happy with the dark gray color of the Gladiator sword/shield, but I'm not a big fan of the pearl gray's in the first place.
Build? I merely Acquire atm.
