Washed Up in Florida...

Postby Athos » Wed Oct 26, 2011 10:09 pm

Another giant Legoman appears on a beach. Why can't I ever find something like that?

But what was with the "looks more like the playmobil characters" commentary? :?

Yes, I saw a clip on CNN, don't know what to think..doesn't look like a fraternity prank.

There was one a few years back in the UK. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/sussex/7702121.stm
I think it's implied that it's a connected to an artist, he dumps one on a beach to raise the profile of his exhibition - though the name Ego Leonard (Ego.L...L.Ego...) either implies a Lego obsessive, or an attempt at viral marketing by TLG. Odd, but cool.

Edit:
Aaah I should have watched your link first. Yeah what's up with the Playmobil comment? Just becuase it's not serious news, doesn't mean that you can be slack with your facts... be interesting to know how the artist shipped the thing.
Less talking, more MOCing.

A similar fig was first spotted on a beach in the Netherlands in 2007: http://uk.reuters.com/article/2007/08/0 ... 1420070807
Between plotting to kill you all and chasing balls of yarn, I also build MOCs
