I'm looking forward to seeing the winners of this contest. Hopefully I don't have to wait too long. :)

Tried to enter yesterday before the deadline, but had to wait until today to get my registration. I'll share even if I'm out of the running. I did a micro version of the original 735 lego castle. I went for some dirty/chewed pieces that might actually be from 1978!

Cool.
Just wondering, who judges the MCC? Is it just you?

Yes, I'm the only judge, so now you know where to send your bribes.

Well thanks for running this contest. I had a lot of fun. Must be hard to judge by yourself.

Results

All right, it's time for the moment of truth.

First of all, a big thank you to everyone who entered this contest. I hope you had as much fun participating in it as I had running it. We got a total of 26 entries this year (plus two that unfortunately hit the net after the deadline), which as far as I can count is the same as last year. Here's a pre-christmas treat for all the statistics geeks:

MCC - 2005: 19 entries.
MCC II - 2006: 14 entries.
MCC III - 2007: 23 entries.
MCC IV - 2008: 23 entries.
MCC V - 2009: 23 entries.
MCC VI - 2010: 26 entries.
MCC VII - 2011: 26 entries.

Anyway, winners. Judging was really difficult, and there were 7-8 entries that hung in there as potential winners a very long time: Especially Lolino's Tartarus, Jacks100's Countryside Keep and Toltomeja's Microscale Gothic Castle deserve to be mentioned. In the end, though...

Second place

goes to

WarScape: Vol 1; Chapter 9 by Siercon and Coral!

and finally,

First place

for being the most amazingly awesome micro castle creation entered

goes to

*drumroll*

Congratulations!

Congratulations, Sean and Steph and Blake! These were both amazing to watch as the pieces unfolded and all worked together into a cohesive whole. I was so very impressed with both volumes. 8)

Congrats to the winners. I really enjoyed seeing all of the great techniques, especially since I wasn't really familiar with microscale prior to this contest.

Keep up the good work!

Congratulations to the winners. Competition was very tough, and the best won.
It was such a fun to competet with you guys.

Everyone did such a good job, and I'm glad I'm not the one who had to judge.

This contest was also a nice introduction to this year's CCC. Looking forward to
the entries in that contest.
